Dr. M.C. Armstrong
Interim Director
As the Interim Director of IRDI, Dr. Armstrong will work intimately with the Director of Renew Forsyth to deeply link Regenerative Agriculture and Curriculum Design through urban garden, farming and food forestry. Through this project, he is excited to be a part of developing the world’s first Health Innovation District that will serve as a regional health innovation-lab or “iLab” for the emerging bioregional model.
John Harris, Esq
Chair
John Harris, Esq is a native boomerang to Forsyth County. He received a BA in Philosophy & Religion and History from Appalachian State University, a BS in both Finance and Economics from Winston Salem State University and a JD from North Carolina Central University.
Nathan Atkinson
Vice Chair
Nathan Adkinson is a native to Forsyth County. He received his BA from Wake Forest and a JD from Mercer University.

Board Member
Reverend Willard Bass, Jr., M Div is an ordained minister whose vocation is centered on building authentic communities of equity across racial and ethnic in all sectors of the community.
Brenda Taylor
Board Member
Brenda Taylor is a lifetime native to Forsyth County and former resident of Happy Hill. Ms. Taylor went to Winston Salem State University where she received her bachelor in pre-med and her graduate degree in community education from Appalachian State University.
